Foster Homes

The number one reason that animals are euthanized in a shelter is not because they are aggressive or unhealthy - it is for lack of space.

By taking animals out of local shelters and placing them in nurturing foster homes CompAnimals can give a 'down on its luck' dog or cat a second chance.

Who can foster?

Our foster homes are as varied as the pets we rescue - senior citizens, single adults, families with kids. There is an application & approval process, of course. Once approved, you can choose the pet or type of pet you would like to foster.

A certain breed perhaps or a puppy. Maybe a senior dog or one with special needs. Our foster families also get to be a part of the adoption process and have final say on the pet¹s new home. And, of course, you can always adopt your foster 'child' yourself.

Considering fostering a litter of puppies...or just one!

You aren't sure you are ready for a new pet? Would like a companion for your current pet? Can you give a temporary home to a special needs or senior pet? Then Foster Care is an option for you!
