HARRY POTTER was loved by his family but one of the family members became allergic & now 6 yrs old Harry ended up at the SPCA. Understandably, Harry was totally stressed & did not show well so after a couple of months he came here. As you can see, he is getting some much needed R&R. Once he settles in Harry is good with other cats. He lived in a house with kids & should be fine in a regular family environment. Harry has been neutered, vaccinated & tested neg for fiv/leuk. Please see him in our cat room.

If you are looking for an adventuresome girl with some cat-itude you have found it in BELLA. She has been an indoor cat but would enjoy being indoor/outdoor if you live in a safe area or even a barn kitty. Bella loves chasing the laser pointer & would probably be a good mouser as well. She is not cuddley but seems to like being where the action is & hanging out with people. Bella is approx 1 1/2 yrs old. She can be bossy with other cats in the cat room but has pretty much lived with other felines her entire life. Tolerant of dogs. Bella has been spayed, vaccinated & tested neg for leukemia/FIV. I hate to have to do this, but I have a really terrible situation right now. I have a four year old domestic shorthaired named Apollo. My parents were no longer able to take care of him, and when I found out they were going to give him up, I took him into my home. Because my parents have a dog, I assumed that Apollo would get along well with my dog, but unfortunately, that has not turned out to be the case. My dog is a German Shepherd named Smokey (a rescue himself), and although I have gone through countless exercises with them, read books, articles, and even gotten my dog trainer involved, they are not getting along....

PUFF-PUFF is probably just a domestic medium hair kitty but she is similar to a Norwegian Forest Cat in looks. She is a sweet but shy kitty - sleeps a lot and doesn't get in any one's way. She has lived with dogs and cats at our adoption center but tends to stay by herself - could live in a multi-pet household but would be fine solo as well. She is currently being fostered by Grateful Groomin' in Oxford, PA and can be visited at their shop during open hours. Puff-Puff is approx 10 yrs old so our senior adoption fee of $1 applies to a wonderful & loving life-long home.

STRIPES is one cool cat! He landed here when his elderly person was in hospice care. Stripes is no spring chicken himself - approx 13 yrs old - and is looking for a retirement home. He is friendly & enjoys being petted. Tolerates the other cats in the cat room & although he had been an only pet, he would be fine in a quiet multi-cat household. Is not fond of dogs but would be OK with dogs that didn't pester him. Stripes has really cool looking ears that go out to the side like airplane wings! Stripes was previously neutered & will be vaccinated & tested prior to adoption. Must be kept as indoors only as that is what he is used to. RAZZAMATAZZ (RAZZ) came to us as part of a litter of kittens born to a stray Mom. Her litter mates were adopted but, perhaps due to her blind eye, Razz was passed over. She is now almost 2 yrs old. Razz is one of our office cats - she can by shy at times & generally picks out "her" person. Razz has short stubby fur & enjoys being petted. She is blind in one eye due to an infection as a kitten. It does not cause her any problems other than not having vision on that side. Good with dogs & other cats. Might find a home with small active children a bit much - does well with our volunteers aged 11 & up. Come meet Razzamatazz at our Adoption Center office or fill out an application.

SHIVA is a 6 yr old Snowshoe cat who is looking for a new home. She was recently adopted and the resident cat is not letting her eat. Shiva is a little timid but is good with other cats. MOOCHIE is an affectionate little kitty. She is a beautiful steel gray color & resembles a Russian Blue. Moochie was a stray who befriended a senior couple & would routinely 'mooch' for food. By the time they caught her, she was, unfortunately pregnant. Moochie delivered her kittens in a foster home; during her stay there she was living with two young girls, a dog & other cats but she would probably enjoy being an only pet as well. Moochie's kittens have all found homes and now it is her turn. If you are looking for a loving cat that doesn't mind being picked up & snuggled then Moochie is for you! FIGAROis a big, handsome tuxedo guy who was turned into us because the other cats in the household picked on him. After a shy start, he settled in nicely in our car room and hasn't had any problems in a multi cat situation. He belonged to an older gentleman and would probably enjoy a quiet household. Figaro is friendly, likes attention but is quiet and not very pushy so he gets overlooked here. Figaro is approx 8 yrs old and has been an indoor cat all his life. Fine with dogs. Figgy, of course, has been neutered & vaccinated. He was well taken care of in his former home and is ready for a home of his own.

Special adoption fee for senior citizens on a fixed income $1. All others $25.

CROOKED TIMMY is one of last years kittens who was not adopted because he was sickly. A bad ear infection left him with a permanent head tilt (we think it gives him purr-sonality! Plus his stunted growth makes him look like a permanent kitten. Come meet Timmy and you will fall in love! Please fill out an application or email for more info.

HONEY was found dodging cars in the Acme parking lot. Fished out from under a car by a good samaratin who took her to the vet and made sure she was vaccinated, tested, spayed and generally healthy while she waited for a spot to open up. Honey is a super sweet cat who does well with kids and is very affectionate. She is rotund with a short-ish tail and big, beautiful eyes. Honey is being fostered by Concord Pet New london (on PA Rt 896 a few miles N of our adoption center). She can be visited there during their regular hours.
